This entire landscape was removed and replaced. The Arizona Cypress trees were used to shield utilities.
Bridge at McMeans
A step down was left, where the excavation for the house was cut into the solid rock hillside. To divert runoff, a dry creek channel was formed running in the front and passes under the cantilevered concrete bridge that was built to connect the cut/step with the entry porch.

Cut Lueders Walkway
The owners were having problems with water up against and entering the house. The flow line was excavated and graded away from the house. A stone retainer was built to contain the new yard. Cut Lueders stones were set on mortar beds, and fabric arranged below and gravel filled in.
Ipe/3form – sliders
Using the Brazilian hardwood ipe, these doors were built like picture frames, with a second backing frame, to sandwich 3form polycarbonate panels inside. Then completely caulked, and hung on a sliding track with heavy duty hardware.

An existing vineyard was removed and an olive orchard planted with gravel paths.
Cypress Creek
About 80 tons of boulders were harvested off a boer goat farm, West of Wimberley, and hauled into Cypress Creek next to Jacob's Well. And 130 feet of walls were built in the creek to mitigate erosion and broaden the floodplain and save the trees growing along the bank.

The existing yard was removed. A brick retaining wall was built to raise and level the space, with Lueders stone cap and patio. Along with the new trellis, all new plantings, irrigation, two Japanese Blueberry's and a Chinquapin Oak were installed.

After a full rehab of the landscape, the owner asked for a concrete paver driveway in Antique Tan.

Drystack Wall
This remodel on Mount Bonnell, extended back into the slope of the lot. To improve the aesthetics, a dry stack wall was built using yellow patio stone and canted a bit. Water passes down and underneath and out, through channels cut into solid rock.
